American Primitive Folk Art ~ Wool Hooked Rug Chicken Pillow ~ Martha's Favorite Hen

This one of a kind, Martha's Favorite Hen pillow is one of my latest designs and was hooked on linen with all hand dyed wool I dyed in my New England home studio.

This pillow measures in at around 15" wide x 12 1/2" tall and was so much fun to hook.

Different shades of muted clam shell colored wool was used for the hen and scalloped border. Faded antique blacks for the background and a nice mix of robin's egg blue for the tulip flower. Stuffed with wool bits for a nice primitive feel and backed with a faded olive green wool.

Perfect for the chicken mama.
