Hot off the hook!
This 34 1/2" x 20 1/2" primitive hooked rug was hooked by my hands using 100% hand dyed wool I dyed in my New England home studio.
A wonderful collection of antique black wool was used for the background and pretty much every color imaginable in the primitive color pallet was used for the rest of the rug. It took me a few tries to get the house and roof just right, and I just love how the faded grey house blends so easily with the multi colored slate roof.
The bluebird, the owl, the fox and the family dog, they are all so sweet.
And a keeper for sure. The background is linen and the pattern is by Crow Hill Primitives.
A true piece of folk art you can be proud to display year round.
