This very large folk art sunflower head {8" wide} with it's 6 wool leaves has been hooked using all hand dyed wool I dyed myself in my New England home studio. The sunflower has been carefully stitched on to a handmade basket that was made in the Finger Lakes region of New York.
The basket is approximately 10” tall {not including the hanger} 9" wide at the bottom and the size tapers to approximately 8" X 3” at the top. The basket is handmade and was woven with reed and finished with Early American stain.
It's the perfect catch all basket and would look wonderful hung on a wall, a hook or a door knob.
A one of a kind and fun piece of folk art.
