This very primitive and one of a kind 33 1/2" x 23 1/2" Queen Bee rug was hooked by my hands with hand dyed wool I dyed myself in my New England home studio.
A combination of over 17 shades of Robin's Egg blue wool was used for the background along with a large assortment of rich mustard wool for the bee skep. Mushroom browns were used for the small wooden platform and various shades of plum, black raspberry and faded magenta strips were used for the flowers.
Hooked on linen.
Perfect for a folk art collector.
