Primitive Folk Art Hooked Rug ~ Three Roosters ~ Early Style

This three roosters 48" x 38" primitive hooked rug was hooked by my hands using 100% hand dyed wool.

I used antique blacks and muted greys for the roosters and for the background an assortment of rich, warm mustards and golden tan textures/colors. I LOVE how this one turned out!!!

The background is linen. All wools were hand dyed by myself in my New England home studio.
